Horse management sessions

Learn the theory behind great horsemanship — feeding, health, anatomy, gear and stable management. These sessions run online and in person, and you do not need to bring a horse. Perfect for certificate prep and rainy days.

What happens at a rally

Times & calendar

Rallies run on scheduled Sundays. Arrive in time to be tacked up and ready for gear check.

Each family takes a turn on the roster — BBQ, gates, jump judging and more. Roster →

Representing the club

Eligibility for team events

Current, financial member of the club and NZPCA for the season.

Meets the certificate / grade level required for the team and discipline.

Regular rally attendance and turnout standards met.

Pony suitable and fit for the level; gear passes gear check.

Approved & tagged helmet and any discipline-specific safety gear.

Selected by coaches; follows the NZPCA rules for that competition.

Full eligibility and grading is governed by NZPCA and Central Districts rules — check the current year's regulations before entering.
